Privacy
Gift List Keeper is a small, free tool run from Australia. We keep as little information as we can, and we never sell any of it. Here's exactly what happens to your details.
What we collect
- Your account. If you create an account, we store your email address and a securely hashed password. If you sign in with Google, we receive the email address on that Google account — nothing else.
- Your lists. The contents of the gift lists you make: people, gifts, prices, budgets, statuses, hiding-spot notes, product links and any photos you add.
- Basic anonymous analytics. Simple counts of page visits so we know which pages are useful. No profiles, no tracking you around the internet.
What we use it for
Only to run your account and your lists — signing you in, saving your gifts, and sharing a list with the partner you invite. That's it. We don't sell or share your gift list data with anyone, and we don't use it for advertising.
Lists made without an account
If you start a list without signing up, it's saved in your own browser on that device and isn't sent to our server. If you later create an account, we move that list into your account so you don't lose it, and clear the browser copy.
Secret Santa and Kris Kringle
The name-draw tools need no account and collect no email addresses. You enter first names and we give you private links to hand out however you like.
Deleting your data
You can ask us to delete your account and everything in it at any time, and you can ask for a copy of what we hold about you. Email hello@giftlistkeeper.com and we'll take care of it. We handle your information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles.
